Isn't that amazing?! She is composed entirely of rocks and plants and endless intrigue. This "Mud Maid," along with other mud people, is located in the Lost Gardens of Heligan near the village of Mevagissney in Cornwall, UK.
These gardens were created over 400 years ago by the Tremayne family, but were neglected after WWI when many of the gardeners died.
In 1990, however, Tim Smit, along with Tremayne descendant John Willis, "found" the gardens and have worked to restore and expand this Edenesque haven ever since. Here is a video of the idyllic place:
These gardens are so inspiring to me. I want to: go build a fort in the jungle there, get married in the Northern Gardens, and be buried among the mud people.
If I ever go missing, look for me among the mud people in the mystical, fairytale gardens in Cornwall.
